You will find the Herbert George in the village centre of Clairac over looking the village Square.


We came across the Hotel a few years ago, and fell in love with its iron balconies and curved Windows. The property had been empty for almost twenty years, so we set out two years ago (2022) to bring the property and the square back to life in a sympathetic but modern way, from recycling doors and windows where possible to installing modern facilities for a comfortable stay, its been a journey for us and we hope it’s an experience for our guests. 


The journey is not yet fully complete as we plan renovations to the rear of the property and we are working on plans with our neighbours.


The Hotel consists of five self contained apartments for the modern traveller give you freedom and choice during your stay, why not stay in cook a meal and enjoy bottle of wine on your balcony watching the nights sky.

Pets are welcome at €10 per night per animal maxim two dogs per room.

We are a five minutiae walk to the Clairac river beach where you can freely swim and sunbath over looking the weir in the river Lot.

    All properties come fully equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, kitchens with modern appliances, some have private outdoor spaces, and comfortable living areas with smart TVs for Netflix and other apps.

  • Are the properties family-friendly?

    No sadly we are an over 18s establishment.

  • Is parking available at the properties?

    There is carparking available behind the hotel which is free, you will also find a small carpark down the road from the front or the Hotel. 

    A large carpark is situated by the roundabout all of which are FREE

  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you need flexible times, feel free to contact us in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.

  • How far is the property from the nearest beach?

    We are around a ten minuite walk to the Clairac river beach.
